Mezhdurechensk

 

a city in Kemerovo Oblast, RSFSR. Located where the Usa River flows into the Tom’. A railroad station on the south Siberian railroad. Population, 90,000 (1973). Coal is mined there. An ore-concentrating works, a plant making reinforced-concrete items, and a repair plant for mining machinery are there. A mine construction technicum is in the city. Mezhdurechensk was formed in 1955 from the settlement of Ol’zheras.


Mezhdurechensk

 

(formerly Perevoloki), an urban-type settlement in Kuibyshev Oblast, RSFSR. Located on the right bank of the Volga, in the southern part of the Samara Oxbow. A railroad station (Perevoloki) 30 km east of the city of Oktiabr’sk. A lumber transshipping combine and a plant for rein-forced-concrete structures are located there.
