Miaskite
Miaskite
(named after the city of Miass, Cheliabinsk Oblast, RSFSR), an igneous rock; a biotitic variety of nepheline syenite consisting of nepheline, albite, microcline, and lepidomelane (ferrous biotite) with an admixture of apatite, zirconium, ilmenite, and other minerals. Miaskite was discovered and first studied in the V. I. Lenin Il’men’ Preserve.
