Orzhitsa

an urban-type settlement and the administrative center of Orzhitsa Raion, Poltava Oblast, Ukrainian SSR. Located on the Orzhitsa River of the Dnieper basin, 39 km from the railroad station of Lubny, it has a food-processing combine, a mixed-feed plant, and a cheese plant. There is peat excavation.
