a city (since 1975) and administrative center of Prikubanskii Raion, Karachai-Cherkess Autonomous Oblast, Stravropol’ Krai, RSFSR. Ust’-Dzheguta is located on the right bank of the Kuban’ River on the Cherkessk-Teberda-Dombai line. It is the terminus of a 71-km railroad branchline from the Nevinnomyssk on the Armavir-Prokhladnaia line. The city has plants for the manufacture of reinforced-concrete products, cement, limestone products, and silicate brick. The Bol’shoi Stavropol’ Canal originates from the Kuban’ in Ust’-Dzheguta.
