Velikaia Mikhailovka

an urban-type settlement; the center of Velikaia Mikhailovka Raion in Odessa Oblast, Ukrainian SSR. Located 17 km from the Veselyi Kut rail-road station (on the Razdel’naia-Slobodka line). Population, 7,100 (1969). There is a dairy plant, a wine distillery, a hemp-processing plant, and a food-processing combine. Viticulture is widespread in the raion.
