Roman style

Marble, iron, bronze, silver, wooden, and wicker furniture of Rome and its Empire that reinterpreted Etruscan, Greek, Hellenistic, and Egyptian precedents. The most common chair was the curule, derived from the Greek “diphros okladias.” The first console tables for sideboard use against a wall appeared, as did four-legged tables with stretchers. The cupboard was developed with “armaria” for weapons and the open buffet display board.
