Sretensk

a city and administrative center of Sretensk Raion, Chita Oblast, RSFSR. Landing on the right bank of the Shilka River (Amur River basin). Railroad station on the left bank of the river, 385 km east of Chita. Sretensk has a factory producing felt footwear and a meat-packing plant, a food-processing combine, and other enterprises of the food industry. There is an agricultural technicum, a pedagogical school, and a museum of local lore in the city.
