Special Features:Ravine Gardens was created in the 1930s by the federal Works ProjectAdministration, which planted the ravines with more than 95,000 azaleas(64 varieties), 11,000 palm trees, and 250,000 ornamental plants. Muchof the WPA's original landscaping still exists as the park's formalgardens and extensive trail system. The peak flowering period is azaleaseason,late January to April.
