A benign lesion of the hypopharynx or oesophagus which, due to its polypoid morphology, can cause airway or oesophageal obstruction or prolapse into the oral cavity. It is covered by benign squamos mucosa and has a fibroconnective tissue core that is well-vascularised and/or rich in adipose tissue, with atypia that may mimic an atypical lipomatous tumour.Management
Complete excision.
