A distinct lymphoid lesion most commonly seen in young men, which may involve a single, asymptomatic lymph node, or only part of one. Its importance lies in the frequency with which it is misdiagnosed as malignant.
Associations
Cat-scratch disease, Kikuchi disease, lymphocyte-predominant Hodgkin lymphoma. It is not itself neoplastic or preneoplastic.
