pseudoneuroma

(soo″dō-nū-rō′mă) [″ + ″ + oma, tumor] A mass of interlacing, coiled fibers, cells of Schwann, and fibrous tissue forming a mass at the end of an amputation stump. Also called amputation or traumatic neuroma, this is not a true neuroma.
