Santash

a pass in the Tien-Shan, east of Lake Issyk-Kul’, in the Kirghiz SSR. It is located at an elevation of 2,195 m. There is a highway through the pass from the Issyk-Kul’ Basin to Alma Ata. A strong wind that blows into the basin from the east is named after the pass.
