Akimovka

an urban-type settlement and administrative center of Akimovka Raion, Zaporozh’e Oblast, Ukrainian SSR. Akimovka is located near the Moscow-Simferopol’ highway, 142 km south of Zaporozh’e. There is a railroad station. The population in 1968 was 8,900. Akimovka’s industry consists of a boiler fittings plant, a metal products plant, a creamery, and a bread combine.
