Ufalei
Ufalei
a mountain range in Sverdlovsk and Cheliabinsk oblasts, RSFSR, in the basin of the upper reaches of the Chusovaia and Ufa rivers. Part of the Central Urals, the Ufalei Range is 90 km long and rises to 609 m at Mt. Berezovaia. The mountains are composed of quartzites, gneisses, and schists and are covered with pine and birch forests. At the foot of the Ufalei, in the north, is the Degtiarsk copper deposit.
