[′shən·her ′hes‚bərg·ər ‚prä·səs] (chemical engineering) A nitrogen-fixation process used in Norway; employs a very long (22 feet or 7 meters) alternating-current arc around which air moves in a helical path in a 746-kilowatt furnace.
