SPDY(SPeeDY) A more efficient Web protocol from Google that is the basis of HTTP/2. Google began to add SPDY to its servers and Chrome browser in 2011 in order to provide a faster download of Google content when using Chrome. SPDY is a session layer protocol that accepts the standard HTTP commands GET and POST. It loads pages faster because it interleaves multiple TCP streams over the same connection. SPDY also compresses the HTTP request and response headers. Any HTTP client or server can be SPDY enabled; however, after HTTP/2 became a draft standard in 2015, Google announced SPDY support would migrate to HTTP/2. See HTTP/2.MedicalSeehttpSPDY
