PMS notation

[¦pē¦em¦es nō′tā·shən] (computer science) A notation that provides a clear, concise description of the physical structure of computer systems, and that contains only a few primitive components, namely symbols for memory, link, switch, data operation, control unit, and transducer. Acronym for processor-memory-switch notation.
