Trapshooting and Skeet Shooting Fields
Trapshooting and Skeet Shooting Fields
sports areas for shooting shotguns loaded with shot at saucer-shaped targets tossed from spring catapults. Trapshooting and skeet use different fields. A trapshooting field measures 25 × 24 m, with five shooting stations on a firing line and a sunken trap house equipped with 15 catapults and a control panel. A skeet shooting field has the shape of a semicircle with a radius of 19.2 m bounded by a chord of 36.8 m. There are seven shooting stations on the arc and one in the center of the chord. Catapults are located in trap houses, the left one of which is on a tower and the right one at ground level. (SeeTARGET SHOOTING.)
