Special Features:The 729-foot Amicalola Falls is the tallest cascading waterfall east ofthe Mississippi River. An 8-mile approach trail leads from the falls toSpringer Mountain, the southern terminus of the 2,144-mile AppalachianNational Scenic Trail, which runs from Georgia to Maine.
