Birmai

an urban-type settlement in Imishli Raion, Azerbaijan SSR, on the left bank of the Araks River. It is connected by a branch to the Baku-Yerevan railroad line. Population, 3,100 (1968). There are gravel pits, a plant making reinforced-concrete products, and a hydroelectric power station in Birmai.
