Location:South of Washington, D.C., where Neabsco Creek joins the Potomac River.
Special Features:Biological surveys monitor waterfowl and bald eagle feeding and nesting activity. Refuge lands have been identified as providing a possible route for the Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail (see entry in national trails section).
Habitats: 325 acres of wetlands and woodlands.
Access: Closed to the public.
Wild life: Neotropical migrants, waterfowl, ospreys, and historically bald eagles. Also provides habitat for white-tailed deer, red fox, raccoon, gray squirrel, and beaver.
