Location:Southeastern Arizona. Accessible by US 80, 89, and 191; AZ 82. Nearby cities/towns include Benson, Bisbee, Douglas, Nogales, Patagonia, Safford, Tombstone, Tucson, and Wilcox.

Special Features:Forest protects 12 mountain ranges (Arizona's "sky islands"), which offer an unusual range of climates and vegetation, affording swimming and skiing opportunities just 40 miles apart. Mount Lemmon, just 25 miles northeast of downtown Tucson, is the southernmost ski area in the continental United States.
