B meson
B mesonn. Either of two mesons, one neutral and one positively charged, containing a bottom antiquark and having masses about 10,330 times that of an electron and mean lifetimes of about 1.6 × 10-12 second.B meson
B meson[¦bē ′mā‚zän] (particle physics) An elementary particle with strong nuclear interactions, baryon number B = 0, spin J = 0, positive parity, negative charge parity, isotopic spin I = 1, and mass 1234 MeV, that decays into an omega meson and a pion. A meson consisting of a combination of a bottom (b) quark with an ordinary up (u) or down (d) quark, having a mass of approximately 5.2 GeV. |
