Ashchisu

Ashchisu

 

a river in Semipalatinsk Oblast, Kazakh SSR. It is 349 km long and drains a basin of 18,100 sq km. It flows through the eastern part of the Kazakh foothills and discharges from the right into the Shagan River (a tributary of the Irtysh). When not fed by snow, the Ashchisu dries up.


Ashchisu

 

a river in Pavlodar Oblast, Kazakh SSR. It is 348 km long and drains a basin of 7,420 sq km. It flows through the northern outlying areas of the Kazakh foothills, discharging into Lake Alkamergen (according to other information, into Lake Zharkol). The Ashchisu is fed by melting snow and is dry much of the time. Its left tributary is the Kurtyozek.
