Board of Directors of the Bank of Canada Board of Directors of the Bank of CanadaThe governing body of the Bank of Canada, which is Canada's central bank. It appoints the Governor of the Bank of Canada and is responsible for general oversight of the institution. It sets the budget, monitors employees and performs other tasks of a board of directors. Because the Bank is independent of the government, it is one of the only government-owned organizations in Canada that sets its own policies. |
