(bō'dĭnäyək'əno͞or`), town (1991 pop. 66,028), Tamil Nadu state, at the foot of the Eastern Ghats, SE India. A Bodinayakkanur state is said to have been established in 1336. The area was seized by Haidar AliHaidar Ali
