electronography

[i‚lek·trə′näg·rə·fē] (electronics) The use of image tubes to form intensified electron images of astronomical objects and record them directly on film or plates.

Electronography

 

a method of reproducing the image of an object on an electronographic plate by means of electron beams emitted from a photocathode on which an optical image of the object is being projected. The technique is used in astronomy to study the structure of faint, diffuse objects (nebulas and galaxies) and their spectra, to examine binary stars, and to make astro-photometric measurements.
