| 释义 | Crick, FrancisCrick, Francis(1916–2004) English biochemist best known for his work with James WATSON and Maurice WILKINS on the structure of the DNA molecule, for which they shared a Nobel Prize in 1962. They were able to suggest a model for DNA structure and how it replicates which is widely accepted today. Crick also proposed the wobble hypothesis which refers to the fact that the third base of each DNA codon often can be varied without changing the AMINO ACID coded for by that codon. |
