[¦ded ′rek·ən·iŋ ‚plät] (navigation) In marine navigation, the graphic plot of consecutive course lines representing courses steered or planned to be steered, originating from a fix or running fix position, and suitably labeled as to course, speeds, and times of periodic dead-reckoning positions. In air navigation, the graphic plot of track and ground speed, suitably labeled. Also known as ground plot.
