Duplianka

a primitive undivided beehive (bee gum type) about 0.8 m in height, consisting of a hollowed-out section of a tree or made out of boards and placed vertically on a board, on a flat stone, or directly on the earth. Dupliankas were used in the extensive beekeeping of prerevolutionary Russia.
