Location:15 miles northeast of Marshall on Highway 43, then east 1 mile on Farm Road 2198 to Park Road 2.
Facilities:Campsites with full hookups, campsites with water and electricity hookups, group camp, cabins, showers, restrooms, day-use group facility, picnic areas, screened shelter, interpretive center, hiking trails, nature trails, boat ramp, boat rentals, fishing pier, park store, playground, concession, recreation hall, amphitheater.
Activities:Camping, boating, fishing, swimming, water-skiing, hiking, bicycling, boat tours.
Special Features:This lake was the only natural lake in Texas until it was artificially dammed in the early 1900s. The lake is a maze of sloughs, ponds, and bayous with cypress groves.
