Country: CanadaState: Ontariomy girlfriend went to a concert with her friends. One of her friends happened to trip while moving through the row to get to her younger sisters seat. Security saw her trip and thought she was drunk he asked her to come with him and she did. She was taken to a backroom and there were police who than started to handcuff her. Being totally surprised at being handcuffed for a reason that was not known to her, she began to resist. The officers did not read her her rights. The arresting officer claims that he was hit by her, I don know all the details, but i am certain the resistance she put up to the officer was modest and probably was not severe, it was a result of not knowing why she was being arrested. She was taken to the station where she was put into a room handcuffed and helpless, and than beaten by another officer who was it seemed to be getting back at her for the alleged "assault on the arresting officer\\". The beatings she received were not extremely sever but there were muddy foot prints on her shirt from being stomped on while knocked to the ground and scrapes and bruisers and her inner ear is bruised. The officer who beat her is also pressing charges of assaulting an officer on himself as well even though he was alone with her in the room and she was handcuffed. She doesn't know what to do because she going to school to be a teacher and a criminal record would destroy her ambition. This took place at a municpal police station in Ontario.
