Gach Saran

an oil-producing center in southwest Iran. The exploitation of the huge deposit located there is carried on by the so-called International Petroleum Consortium, composed of American, English, Anglo-Dutch, and French companies. The oil passes through a pipeline to the island of Khark in the Persian Gulf for export.
