Garliava

an urban-type settlement in Kaunas Raion, Lithuanian SSR. Located 10 km south of Kaunas and 1.5 km from the Garliava railroad station (on the Kaunas-Kaliningrad line). Population, 6,000 (1970). Garliava has a machine repair plant and enterprises for the production of knit goods.
