Location:10 miles north of Rockport off State Highway 35.
Facilities:Campsites with water and electricity hookups, tent camping, showers, restrooms, day-use group facility, picnic areas, boat ramp, fishing pier (é), fish cleaning stations, park store, playgrounds, recreation hall.
Activities:Camping, boating, fishing, birding, interpretive programs.
Special Features:Located within park property is "Big Tree," the State Champion Coastal Live Oak, estimated to be more than 1,000 years old. The tree has a circumference of 35 feet, is 44 feet in height, and has a crown spread of 90 feet. Located directly across St. Charles Bay from the park are the wintering grounds for rare and endangered whooping cranes in the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge (see entry in national wildlife refuges section).
