/ðə ˈkenl klʌb/
- an organization in London that holds the official records relating to dog breeding in Britain. The records prove that particular dogs are pure breeds (= have the right features for their breed and are descended from a line of similar animals). The Kennel Club also organizes Crufts dog show, and gives advice on dog health, training and breeding. The American Kennel Club is a similar organization in the US.
