dichroscope|ˈdaɪkrəʊskəʊp| Also dichroiscope, dichroöscope. [f. Gr. δίχρο-ος two-coloured + -σκοπ-ος observing. (The etymologically regular form is dichroöscope, but dichroscope is more convenient.)] An instrument for observing or testing the dichroism of crystals, etc. Hence dichroˈscopic a., of or pertaining to a dichroscope.
