‖ Dinoceras|daɪˈnɒsəræs| [mod.L. (Marsh, 1872) f. Gr. δειν-ός fearful, terrible + κέρας horn.] A genus of extinct ungulated quadrupeds (Dinocerata) of huge size, and having apparently three pairs of horns. Hence diˈnocerate a., related to the dinoceras, as a dinocerate animal.
