A name applied to certain plants having tuberous root-fibres.
1. common dropwort, field dropwort, or mountain dropwort, a plant, Spiræa Filipendula, belonging to the same genus as Meadowsweet, but scentless. Extended, with defining words, to other species of Spiræa.
