[ad. OF. enewer, eneauer, f. en in (see en-1) + eau water.]
trans. Of a hawk: To drive (a fowl) into the water. refl. Of a fowl: To plunge in the water. (In Shakes. spelt emmew, either by confusion with emmew enmew, or merely by a misprint.)
