† ˈexorate, v. Obs. [f. L. exōrāt- ppl. stem of exōrāre, f. ex- (see ex- prefix1) + ōrāre to pray.] 1. trans. a. To request earnestly, implore. b. To prevail upon (a person) by entreaty.
