tylose Bot.|ˈtaɪləʊs| Also thylose. [a. F. tylose (Van Heurck), f. G. thyllen (1845), tüllen n. pl., of doubtful origin.] An intrusive growth of the wall of a cell into the cavity of a vessel in woody tissue.
