▪ I. graphoˈmetric, a.1 [f. prec. + -ic.] Pertaining to or ascertained by a graphometer. In mod. Dicts. So graphoˈmetrical a.1 = prec.
1828–32in Webster; and in later Dicts. ▪ II. graphoˈmetric, a.2 (n.) Math. [f. grapho- (taken as comb. form of graphic, in sense 5 b) + metric.] Applied by Clifford to a class of functions which pertain equally to graphic and metric geometry. Hence as n., a graphometric function.
