alisphenoid, a. and n. Phys.|ælɪsˈfiːnɔɪd| [mod. f. L. āla wing + sphenoid, f. Gr. σϕηνοειδής wedge-shaped.] A. adj. Forming the wing of the sphenoid bone at the base of the skull, or pertaining to this part.
