Vaad Leumi|ˈvaːaːd ləˈʊmiː| [Heb. wa‘aḏ committee + lə'ummī national.] A national committee of Palestine Jews, serving as their official representative during the period of the British Mandate from 1920 to 1948. The form Vaad Haleumi in the 1926 example includes the definite article.
