volumetric, a.|vɒljuːˈmɛtrɪk| [Cf. prec. and metric a.2] Of, pertaining to, or noting measurement by volume. volumetric efficiency (Mech.), the ratio of the volume of fluid actually displaced by a piston or plunger to its swept volume.
