(with Arab. article) aljuba, It. giubba, giuppa, Prov. jupa, F. jube, jupe (cf. jub1); derivative F. jupon. Another pronunciation of the Arabic is jibbah.] An outer garment worn by Muslims and Parsees, consisting of a long cloth coat, open in front, with sleeves reaching nearly to the wrists.
