kiaat S. Afr.|kɪˈjɑːt| Also coyatte hout (hout = wood), kajat, kajatenhout, kiatt, kijaat. [Afrikaans, f. Du., f. Malay ki djati, kajoe djati good wood.] The tree Pterocarpus angolensis, belonging to the family Leguminosæ, and found in southern Africa; the timber of this tree.
