[f. propyl n. + naphthyl n. + ethanol n. + *-olol] A beta-adrenoceptor blocking drug, 2-isopropylamino-1-(2-naphthyl)ethanol, C15H19NO , formerly used in the treatment of angina and cardiac dysrhythmias. Superseded by its structural derivative, propranolol.
