Ludian|ˈl(j)uːdɪən| Also Lüd, Lude, Ludic, L'üdikš, Lüdish. [f. Olonetsian liüdi (? ad. Russ. ljudi, people) + -an, -ian.] A language of the Finnish group of the Finno-Ugrian family of languages, used by a small number of speakers in the region of Olonets, now in the north-west part of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic.
